Thank you for taking the time to look into becoming a part of the Worship ministry at Rock Hill Baptist Church! Auditions are necessary for the following roles: Praise Team Singers, Soloists, and Band. We have an Adult Choir and Kids Choir that is open to everyone without an audition. If you are interested in these non-auditioned groups, please email worship@rockhillbc.com for more information.
Let's Get Started!
We have tried to make this process as quick and simple as possible while getting all of the information we need to help you find your place in ministry. Before you begin the audition process, please take the time to read the following instructions carefully.
Type & Upload your personal testimony of salvation. Please share a little about your life before your salvation, how you were saved, if you’ve been baptized, and what your life is like now. Please put your name, phone number & email address at the top of the document. Then, save and upload your testimony HERE.
Prepare to sing or play the first verse and chorus of the song, We Praise You. Choose the correct accompaniment track based on your voice type or instrument. You can find all of the accompaniment tracks and song charts HERE. For vocalists, please sing the melody on the first verse and chorus. Then, when the track counts you in for another chorus, sing a harmony of your choosing along with the lead vocal. For instrumentalists, you will play the intro, first verse, chorus, and outro only.

It’s time to record! Video record yourself with one device while your accompaniment track plays on another device. Record yourself with your voice/instrument and accompaniment track being clearly heard and yourself being clearly seen. We are looking for mainly two things: how your sound might fit into our ministry and how your stage presence might help lead others in our congregation.

Congratulations! You have finished the audition. You will receive one of three follow-up responses:
1. We currently don’t have a place on our praise team or band that fits your gifts/abilities.
2. We would love for you to work on a few things and re-audition in 6 months. Here are some tools to help you grow in your gifting.
3. We would like to set up a face-to-face meeting to see how you can plug into the worship ministry more deeply.
